Hey folks,
Watch for new, great music coming from Broadway Records. I have been adding new stuff to sell on a regular basis since the beginning of 2008. I also am in the process of opening a retail space in Pine Island, Minnesota. Check out the location on this MAPQUEST link.

Broadway Records spawned from a seed planted by my brother. He first purchased Madcity Music(Madison WI,) in the early 80s. He built up the business with a great selection of new and used product. The business grew and he moved on to St. Paul, Minnesota and sold Madcity.. That is when he decided to open a small shop in Rochester, New Rhythm Record Exchange.
New Rhythm lasted 2 years and then moved on to Minneapolis to reform into Roadrunner Records. He has since sold Roadrunner and it continues to move along through a world that is harsh on independent record stores.
When New Rhythm moved along so did I. After about a year of lawn mowing and various odd jobs the idea for Broadway Records formed. Starting out small and growing rapidly through the boom of the late 80s and early 90s independent music scene.
Broadway had some great customers and a colorful cast of characters that helped keep the doors open. In 2003 we wrapped up a long history of business. Internet and big-box stores really put a squeeze on us.
After a few years doing those various odd jobs and finally having high-speed internet offered in our area. Yeh, that^s right, finally, in 2005! So once again, I can be connected to music aficionados all over the globe. Selling quality music and keeping my interest in music fresh. Enjoy our growing selection. We will continue to sell quality music at a fair price.
Living just 90 minutes south of Minneapolis I had the luxury of seeing some incredible shows in the last 25 years. Local acts such as: The Replacements, Husker Du, The Suburbs, Jayhawks, and more. Great international shows: The Ramones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dead Kennedys, Hoodoo Gurus, Talking Heads, The Cramps, X, Neil Young, and many, many more. Even Rochester (my home town) pulled off a few good shows: Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper, The Smithereens, Plan 9, Bob Dylan, and some great local acts.
Buy in confidence; I have spent many years in the music business. I enjoy the buying, the selling and the ^scene^. Please feel free to send an email if you have any questions.
